kiitos huomiosta, olet oikeassa. saamelaisten asema on erilainen kuin muiden, se käsittää mm. maanomistusta, kulttuuria ja monen lain korjaamisen tarvetta. kannattaa aina katsoa miten kohtelemme alkuperäiskansat jottei meidät suomalaisia kohdellaan tulevaisuudessa kuten me saamelaisia. kysymys on kyllä pohdinnan alla mm. pauliina feodorofin kanssa muutenkin. kiitos huomiosta.

Kovasti tunnut vouhottavan rasismista suu vaahdossa blogeissasi mutta sanallakaan et puutu alkuperäisväestön kohtaamaan rasismiin, mikset? Se ei tietenkään ole läheskään yhtä mediaseksikäs puheenaihe kuin maahanmuuttajan kokema rasismi mitä he tuntuvat kummasti kokevan joka paikassa.

Jos Suomi kerta on niin rasistinen ja huono paikka niin miksi he tulevat tänne? Olisiko heidän omissa asenteissaan suomalaisia kohtaan mitään korjattavaa niin saattaisi suomalaistenkin asenteet muuttua. Asioiden salailulla ja pimittämisellä tähän asiaan ei tulla koskaan saamaan parannusta.

Miksi suomalaisten pitää muuttua maahanmuuttajien vaatimusten mukaisesti, käsittääkseni jos tulee vieraaseen maahan pakoon sotaa niin ei olla ensimmäisenä esittämässä vaatimuksia vaan ollaan kiitollisia että on saanut tulla turvaan kyseiseen maahan ja yritetään sopeutua maan tapoihin ja lakeihin.

Hi Umayya, I am Tania Rodríguez. We’ve never met. I’ve known about you for a while from TV, Posters, a friend that interviewd you, and the latest interview I read in Six Degrees.

I really enjoyed it. Aside from the fact that it is revitalizing and, I guess a “relief” to read something that I could not put into words so eloquently but DO feel. I think that you are completely right in everything you said. I guess that our situation as immigrants will never change, not as we want anyway. I am a graphic designer, I got here the first time when I got into TAIK and after my Masters went back to Mexico, where I’m from, and 7 years later reunited with my exboyfriend (now husband).

I never thought this would be so hard, specially after living here in 2000, life as a student does not compare with life as a resident. I’m obviously studying Finnish and I decided to take on Culinary school, so I’m also doing that.

I would like to help on whatever I can to make our integration better, less rocky. Is there anything I could help with?
